الملخص

Robert Penn Warren uses a complex web of symbolism and narrative devices in Band of Angels to reveal deeper levels of meaning and enhance the story’s portrayal of critical thinking and problem-solving. This study explores the subtleties of Warren’s storytelling technique and clarifies how these literary devices support the investigation of characters’ thought processes and moral decisions. The characters complex thoughts and decisions are reflected in the narrative's fluidity, which enhances the immersive experience of exploring critical thinking. Warren allows readers to participate in the characters’ thought processes while also capturing the spirit of antebellum Southern society through the use of these literary tropes. This investigation defies the traditional confines of a historical narrative, forcing readers to wrestle with moral dilemmas and reflect more broadly about the value of critical thinking in the face of societal difficulties.
